Multiple omental hemangiomas in a Himalayan cat: Incidental finding in a laparotomy

This report describes the occurrence of omental hemangioma in a five-year-old Himalayan cat. The cat was affected by hemorrhagic gastroenteritis caused Fusobacterium necrophorum. Also, chronic renal failure (CRF) demonstrated according to high levels blood urine nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Cr), as well hypoproteinemia and anemia. In this respect, urinalysis, specific gravity (USG) decreased while urea, total protein increased. Moreover, complete count (CBC) tests showed neutrophilia, monocytosis lymphopenia. During an exploratory laparotomy, nine masses with size 1-5 mm firm consistency were found be scattered on omentum. Histologically, consisted capillary-cavernous vessels well-differentiated endothelial cells. No mitotic figures, hemorrhage, or necrosis found, but there focal lymphocytic infiltration parenchyma masses.
